It's been months since most Canadian high school students have been able to return to classes, and many haven't been able to go to the school buildings either.
That means that the contents of their lockers have gone untouched.
Some schools and boards have allowed students to retrieve their belongings, but the options vary by region.
For example, New Brunswick's Anglophone South school district has said high schoolers can clear out their lockers.
But in Toronto, students aren't allowed into the schools.
For some, that means perishable food items left behind ahead of March break have turned to mouldy mush.
Others have left books and gym shoes that are going unused.
