No shock here, a new report has found Canadians pay some of the highest prices in the world for their cellphone plans.
The report by the Montreal Economic Institute also found there is good reason for it.
Report author Martin Masse says we have some of the best networks in the world, adding we're paying for a Lexus but it's worth a Lexus.
He also notes our small population makes it more expensive to develop and maintain wireless networks.
But that doesn't explain why Australians pay an average of $37 a month for their phone plans, even though they have larger geographical challenges than Canada.
