A successful week in Ottawa advocating for the Town of Lincoln.
That's according to Mayor Sandra Easton who was in attendance at the Association of Municipalities Ontario conference.
She says one of the goals going into the confence was to advocate for funding for the area, including relief for the flooding that occured earlier this year.
"We were looking for support in some cases, predominantly an opportunity to raise the profile of Lincoln at a provincial level. There's a lot of good work that's going on in Lincoln, it's a very progressive community and therefore there are times when we need further investment at a provincial level."
Easton says that politics can sometimes movely slowly, and that it's now a matter of following up, attending future meetings, and advancing the agenda.
