Sunwing Airlines is stepping up to help get Canadians home.
The airline is offering available seats on its northbound flights free of charge to all stranded Canadians, even if they are not Sunwing customers.
Company officials say they expect to have all of customers, most of whom are at Mexican or Caribbean resorts, back home by Monday.
Any Canadians hoping to hop on a flight are told to check flight times on Sunwing's website and then make their way to the check-in counter at the airport.
If there are any remaining spaces on a flight, it will be offered to Canadians or Canadian permanent residents.
Customers are asked not to call ahead since the availability can only be confirmed at the airport ahead of the closures of check-in for each flight.
