People who booked a trip cancelled by COVID-19 through Sunwing may be able to get a refund.
The company has reached a new agreement with the Canada Enterprise Emergency Funding Corporation that will allow it to offer refunds to customers with previously non-refundable vacations.
Customers who received a future travel credit or chose to use the Worry Free cancellation waiver and received travel vouchers can request the refund.
The refunds apply to hotels, flights, and vacation packages booked before June 25th, 2021 and scheduled travel from February 1st, 2020 onwards.
Customers can submit a request through the online COVID-19 refund request form by August 27th, 2021. Anyone who booked through a travel agent or third party must contact the booking agency for a refund.
People who received a refund from an insurance provider, customers who received a refund from a chargeback, or customers who transferred the travel credit to another person not named in the booking are not eligible.
