Niagara Police, along with the Fire Marshall's office, are investigating a suspicious fire in Niagara Falls on Friday night.
The blaze broke out at an unoccupied home on Ailanthus Avenue south of Dunn Street at 2:30 a.m.
The fire was put out by firefighters, and no one was hurt.
Damage caused by the fire is estimated to be $400,000.
The cause of the fire is 'suspicious' prompting the involvement of the Ontario Fire Marshal.
Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity on Ailanthus Avenue or in the surrounding area are being asked to contact detectives.
In addition, area residents with security cameras are being asked to review their surveillance footage and report any relevant information.
