A special night of socializing, networking, and support for women in crisis is coming to St. Catharines.
Bell Media, 105.7 EZ Rock, United Way St. Catharines and District, and Labour Programs and Services have teamed up for Tampon Tuesday, an event helping women in poverty access feminine hygiene products.
Participants are invited to the Feathery Pub on March 6th from 5 - 7 p.m. for a social night to help those less fortunate; the price of admission is an unopened box of feminine hygiene products.
Executive Director of Community Care of West Niagara Carole Fuhrer will be on hand to talk about the challenges women living in poverty face in Niagara.
Tampon Tuesday has grown into a huge national push - 26 communities across Canada will be taking part this year.
