Members of the Burgoyne Bridge task force will meet this week possibly to go over the results of a forensic audit into the bridge build.
Pelham Mayor Dave Augustyn says the meeting is set for Wednesday evening and he hopes the findings by auditor Deloitte will be presented at that time.
Augustyn says while the meeting is on regional councillors agenda, they have yet to receive any details of what they'll be discussing.
Deloitte was hired last summer to look into everything that happened up to and including the awarding of the multi million dollar contract.
The mayor says they ordered the forensic audit to look into regional practices and policies leading up to the awarding of the contract, and to determine if something during that process went awry.
The pricetag for the bridge has climbed from an original estimate of $52 million to $93 million.
Augustyn says when it's all said and done the cost could climb higher and if so, it will be up to the region when the bridge is done, to conduct another audit of the cost of the construction.
