The heat is on and if you're headed out to the beach there are ten posted as 'unsafe' for swimming in Niagara.
Those beaches include: Crescent Beach in Fort Erie, Nelles Beach in Grimsby, Charles Daley Park East in Lincoln, Queen's Royal Beach in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Humberstone Centennial Park Beach, Nickel Beach, Sherkston Wyldewood Beach (all in Port Colborne), Lakeside and Sunset Beaches in St. Catharines and Long Beach Conservation West in Wainfleet.
Niagara Public Health says swimming in water which has high bacteria levels could cause infections of the ear, eye, nose, throat and skin as well as cause diarrhea if the water is ingested.
