In 2009, ten men from Niagara Falls, decided to try and help the local food bank, little did they know, their efforts are about to be immortalized on the silver screen.
Ten Men in a Tent was launched to raise money and fill the empty shelves at Project Share.
The ten, including 105.7 EZ Rock's Rob White, camped out in a tent for five days, eating only food available at the food bank.
The men, raised a resounding $302,000 and filled the shelves at Project Share.
Efforts are now underway to bring their story to the big screen in an effort to further shine the light on poverty.
A crowd funding campaign kicked off today on indiegogo to raise $50,000 for the movie.
A portion of proceeds will go directly to Project Share as will a portion of profits.
