Separate two-vehicle crashes near Port Perry and Guelph each killed three people. Two other people died in separate crashes in Elgin and Brant counties.
All of the collisions happened on Saturday.
The blitz, dubbed Operation Impact focused on what police call the "big four".
Overall, 6,934 charges were laid as police zeroed in on aggressive, inattentive, and impaired driving as well as seat belt infractions.
Most of the charges were for speeding.
