Niagara Police are looking for a suspect believed to be behind a number of gas-and-dash thefts.
The first case was reported at the end of July, and the latest incident this week.
Police are aware of 7 fuel thefts in St. Catharines, Welland, Niagara Falls, and Fort Erie -- with a financial loss to the gas stations totalling $950.
In each of the thefts, the suspect arrives at a gas pump operating an older style blue BMW X5 SUV.
The suspect uses various stolen licence plates, including BSAC475 and BXPX281.
The suspect is described as a white man, 40 to 50 years old, 5’8” to 5’10” tall, with varying hair styles, most recently a shaved head.
He has tattoos on both calves.
