The Ford government may have opened the floodgates to municipal reform when it decided to chop Toronto city council.
Earlier this week, a Cambridge city councillor called for the end of the region of Waterloo, saying it was time to get rid of the two tiered system and replace the region with a management board instead.
Now the mayor of Burlington, Rick Goldring says it only makes sense to make Waterdown part of his city adding because of its growth it is putting extra pressure on Burlington's infrastructure.
The request blindsided Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger who calls the proposal "outrageous" and not "neighbourly,"
Eisenberger says he has an even better idea, Hamilton should annex all of Burlington.
