The CAO of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority isn't putting much stock in a recent survey done with employees that found 87% of respondents agreed the organization tolerates behaviour that is harmful to mental health.
OPSUE citing survey results released earlier this week that found 55% of respondents describing their workplace as 'toxic'.
CAO Mark Brickell doesn't put much stock in the survey as it didn't represent any significant portion of the NPCA's workforce.
Brickell says only 32 to 36 of the NPCA's 100 employees actually took part in the survey.
He says the NPCA is a great place to work.
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union which represents the workers is calling on the province, the Niagara Region, municipal governments and senior management at the NPCA to
take steps to address what it calls an unhealthy workplace.
