The annual Facer European Festival is set to go on the Civic holiday.
The third annual festival runs Monday, August 6th in on Facer Street in St. Catharines.
The festivities get underway at noon, followed by hours of live performances, historical walking tours and a perogy eating contest.

New this year, festival-goers can purchase a 2019 wall calendar featuring historical photos of the people and places of the neighbourhood from 1900 to the 1960s.
Classic foods made by Facer District merchants are on the menu to fuel the festivities, including porchetta and prosciutto panini from Roberto’s Pizza Passion, perogies from St. Joseph Bakery, and tamales from Tamales Mexico.
Kids of all ages can keep cool with ice cream cones from Mister Softee.
