Unlike the situation in Hamilton, Niagara will start the school year with a full compliment of bus drivers.
More than 500 bus drivers are getting ready to take kids to school next week for both the Catholic and public school boards.
Parents in Hamilton have already been warned the region is facing a school bus driver shortage.
The president of the Ontario School Bus Association blames the shortages on a lack of provincial funding.
Mark Begg says the funding model has not been changed in 10 years and it makes it tough for bus company's to pay drivers a decent wage, buy new buses and maintain their fleets.
