Police have made a third arrest in a violent break and enter investigation in St. Catharines.
On Tuesday, several male suspects entered a home in the city armed with a handgun and confronted the homeowners demanding cash.
A violent struggle ensued and the suspects fled the scene.
About 30 minutes later police got another call about a man who was stabbed multiple times at another address.
Further investigation found the incidents were linked.
Shortly after police arrested two St. Catharines residents.
Yesterday they arrested a third man, identified as 36 year old Michael Croft of Niagara Falls.
During the investigation police also seized several firearms and some drugs.
