A Thornhill woman is facing charges after leaving her dog in a hot car in the parking lot of a Niagara Falls, New York shopping mall.
It happened Sunday on Military Road, when a store employee on a break called police after spotting a dog in a car with the windows rolled up.
Before officers could break into the car, a man and woman came out of the store and opened the doors.
The woman told police they had only been in the store five minutes, but officers pointed out they had been on scene for at least 15 minutes.
The temperature inside the vehicle was determined to be around 35 degrees celcius.
39 year old Victoria Agabalyan is charged with confinement of a companion animal in a vehicle.
