Thorold crash under investigation, roads blocked

A serious crash has closed a major thoroughfare in Thorold this morning.

Police telling us it happend around  2:50 this morning.

A single vehicle crashed in the area of Ormond Street N and Merritt Street.

A man and a woman were injured in the collision, the woman had to be airlifted to an out-of-area hospital for treatment.

As a result Ormond St. N and Merritt Street will be closed for a few more hours while police investigate.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
