As part of Fire Prevention Week, Thorold Fire is hosting an open house this Saturday.
Residents are invited to Fire Station 4, between 1-4 p.m., to see demonstrations and the fire service's 100’ ladder truck.
Officials say there will also be activities, games and refreshments for the entire family.
Thorold Fire and Emergency Services is once again collaborating with the National Fire Protection Association to promote Fire Prevention Week.
This year’s theme is “Cooking safety starts with YOU. Pay attention to fire prevention.”
The campaign aims to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take when cooking to keep themselves and those around them safe.
