Thorold Mayoral Candidate Henry D’Angela says he is offering a green alternative to campaign signs to supporters.
D'Angela, a current Regional Councillor is running for the Mayor's seat along with Terry Ugulini, a current city Councillor.
D’Angela says his supporters can opt to use compost bags to promote their candidate.
“Compost bags are useful and environmentally responsible,” said D’Angela, “Some people have indicated they want to support my campaign but they are concerned the signs will end up in a landfill. Or they don’t like the look of signs.”
D’Angela is hoping that the compost bags will generate interest in the election.
Supporters can request bags or signs recycled from past elections at www.henrydangela.ca.
