Strong winds battered the region last night, leaving many without power.
As the gusts whipped through at up to 90 kilometres per hour, many people lost power according to Alectra's Manager of External Communications John Friesen.
"So as far as St. Catharines and Hamilton territory is concerned at its peak it was about just under 2,300 customers out."
Friesen says 68 customers were still out in Hamilton this morning, but St. Catharines power has been fully restored.
