All that wind and rain wreaking havoc across Niagara.
Thousands of customers are without power in the Port Colborne and Fort Erie area.
Officials with Canadian Niagara Power say 5,000 customers are being affected by the significant outage.
They say significant damage from fallen trees remains a challenge and were unable to provide an ETR at this time
Officials with the Town of Fort Erie also caution they are dealing with several downed trees, and urge drivers to plan more time for their morning commute.
Hydro One officials say more than 1,500 customers and crews have been dispatched, but the restoration time is listed at 6 o'clock tonight.
We also have word of an ongoing power outage in St. Catharines - about 400 customers are affected in the area of the 406 to Welland Canals Parkway from Queenston Street to Glendale Ave.
Crews are working on it, and they hope to have power restored by 9 a.m. this morning.
Crews from Welland Hydro have been working through the night to restore power as well.
Meanwhile, officials with the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority say water levels in Lake Erie near Port Colborne have exceeded their earlier forecast.
The water levels coupled with strong wind gusts are creating large waves, causing flooding along the shoreline.
People in Port Colborne are sharing pictures of significant flooding on their properties this morning.
The strong winds are expected to ease up through today, but until then drivers will likely want to keep a sharp eye out for flying debris during the morning commute.
