A 10-year-old Waterdown girl was one of three people who died yesterday in motor vehicle accidents in Southern Ontario.
Witnesses say she was hit by a vehicle when she ran into a street in the area of Evans Road and Highway 5 around 6:30 and police say she died of her injuries in hospital.
A second fatal, also in Hamilton, happened on Highway 403 at Aberdeen.
A female pedestrian was struck by a transport truck just before 4:00.
The third fatal happened near Moorefield, north of Kitchener, a woman died in hospital after the minivan she was in was broadsided by a pickup truck which the O-P-P says ran through a stop sign at about 10 p-m.
