At least three more Niagara municipalities have decided to opt in to cannabis stores.
During last night's meetings in St. Catharines, Port Colborne, and Fort Erie, council members decided to allow the brick and mortar stores.
In both cases, online public polls showed strong support for the pot shops.
Despite the approvals, there are no guarantees either city will host a shop as only 25 licenses are up for grabs province wide during the first wave.
Only three of Niagara's municipalities actually meet the population requirements to host the first round of stores - St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, and Welland.
Welland has already said they'd be open to hosting a store while Niagara Falls will decide during tonight's meeting.
