Three Niagara residents have won separate million dollar prizes.
62 year old Donald Parode from Fort Erie won the big Maxmillions prize in the February 21st draw.
He plans to invest some of the money, do some home renovations, and travel when the time is right. "I'm a beach guy. I want to visit all the places in The Beach Boys song 'Kokomo!'"
Retired transit driver Richard Porter of St. Catharines also scooped up a one million dollar prize.
The 63 year old father of two won the Guaranteed $1 Million Prize in the April 4th Lotto 6/49 draw.
He plans to live mortgage-free and help out his daughter who was laid off due to COVID-19. "We will also make some donations to animal protection groups and foster and adopt more dogs," he said.
Meanwhile 68 year old Christopher Knapp of Niagara Falls won the Guaranteed $1 Million Prize in the April 29 Lotto 6/49 draw.
He says the money will allow him to leave a legacy for his nephews and nieces and enjoy his freedom.
He also plans to donate to the food bank, buy a condo, and catch some Bruce Springsteen concerts. "I've seen him live more than 65 times and now I can see him more!"
