A fire in Hamilton has claimed three lives and sent three other people to hospital.
It happened at a home on Grenfell St. around 11:30 p.m.Saturday.
Hamilton fire says the one and a half storey house was "well involved with heavy smoke" when they arrived.
A multiple alarm was distpatched for additional resources.
The home was occupied by five occupants at the time of the fire with three confirmed fatalities, two occupants and one neighbor were transported to hospital.
Damage is estimated at $260,000.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time
The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
