Niagara will honour soldiers past and present in a number of Remembrance Day ceremonies being held this weekend.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350 in Port Dalhousie is holding its Remembrance Day Parade this Sunday.
The parade and ceremony will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and you can expect traffic delays in the Lakeport Road area during the parade and service.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 418 is hosting a mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Sunday at 10 a.m.
A wreath laying ceremony at the Canadian Polish Society will be held following the mass at 11 a.m.
The Lincoln and Welland Regiment in St. Catharines will be hosting a special service this Sunday at the Cenotaph in Memorial Park on St. Paul Street.
The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones, will be the royal guest at the 10 a.m. service.
Rhys-Jones is married to Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, the youngest sibling of King Charles III.
She is in St. Catharines to crown a winner in the Wessex Cup, a military challenge being held at the Lincoln and Welland Regiment on Saturday.
This is the first time the Duchess of Edinburgh competition has been held in Canada.
