Durham Regional Police have released more information in a case that saw a trio of St. Catharines residents allegedly kidnapped.
They've charged one man and are still searching for another accused of kidnapping victims, tying them up and forcing them to take money out of their bank accounts.
Police say the case started Thursday when a man told officers he'd been kidnapped, forcibly confined and made to take money out of his account at a bank in Pickering.
Police say none of the victims, which included two males and one female all in their 20's, suffered any physical injuries and police say the incident was isolated, and not a random act.
Police say they arrested a 19-year-old Toronto man at the scene, who faces charges that include kidnapping.
On Friday, Durham and Niagara Regional Police arrested a man as part of the investigation in Niagara Falls, but he was later released without conditions.
It's believed that the wanted suspect is operating a black 2009 two-door BMW with Ontario plates #CLJA289.
The third suspect 25 year old Michael Nanton-Madden is wanted by DRPS for kidnapping, robbery and forcible confinement, uttering death threats, theft of a motor vehicle, possesion of a weapon, and failure to stop for police.
Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Investigators are requesting that he contact a lawyer and turn himself in.
If anyone spots the suspect vehicle they are asked to contact local police or 911.
Anyone with new information about this case is asked to contact Det. Hawkes (ext. 2528) or Det. Fisher (ext. 2530) of the DRPS West Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 1-888-579-1520.
