It's another blow for Tim Hortons as a research firm finds the chain has fallen down the list of Canada's most reputable companies.
Reputation Institute says the company plummeted from 13th place to 67th in a ranking of 250 companies analyzed this year.
27,000 Canadians were asked to score the companies on their products, innovation, workplace governance, citizenship, leadership, and financial performance.
The tumble follows a public dispute between Tim Horton's parent company Restaurant Brands International and the Great White North Franchisee Association which claims to represent more than half of the brand's franchise owners; they have fought over cost-cutting measures made at some locations in the wake of Ontario's minimum wage hike, alleged misuse of national advertising funding, and a $700 million renovation plan to spruce up restaurants.
Reputation Institute says the company still has a 'strong reputation.'
Google, Lego, and Rolex topped the list while Canadian brands MEC, Jean Coutu, and Canadian Tire all made the top 20.
