The former leader of the PC Party is commenting on the resignation of Patrick Brown.
Tim Hudak, who was also a Niagara MPP for over 20 years tells CKTB's Tim Denis and Shelby Knox that this is an awful day for a number of various reasons.
He says he feels for the women involved in the case.
Hudak says this means a lot of chaos for the Progressive Conservative Party and really it's unprecedented.
Denis asked Hudak if this is a career ending development, Hudak says it's hard to say since he's still an MPP and it doesn't appear there will be a court process.
He says he is surprised these allegations are only coming out now.
He says the big questions of who knew what and when will be asked and it could get ugly.
The party's former president Richard Ciano admitted to our brother station, NEWSTALK 1010 there had been whispers about Brown's alleged behaviour for awhile, but did not go into specifics.
He is the first person attached to the PC party who has said there were whispers about Brown's behaviour.
