As part of Mental Health Awareness week, the Calgary Counselling Centre is offering a free, anonymous online screening test to raise awareness of depression.
Depression is one of the most treatable of all mental health issues, however, only half of those affected seek help.
In January, Statistics Canada reported that 11% of Canadians between ages 15-24 met the criteria for depression.
Suicide is the second leading cause of death, accounting for nearly a quarter of deaths, in the 15-24 category.
