The top 10 best selling books of the past decade all have one thing in common, they all got a boost in sales after being turned into Hollywood films.
N-P-D Bookscan, which tracks the sales of 80 percent of books in the U-S, says "Fifty Shades of Grey" by E-L James grabs the title of best selling book of the past decade with 15-point-two million copies sold.
The other two books in the series "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" round out the top three.
At number four is Suzanne Collins' "Hunger Games" and in fifth place, Kathryn Stockett's "The Help."
Rounding out the top ten, "The Girl on the Train", "Gone Girl", "The Fault in Our Stars", "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and "Divergent".
