A Toronto-area video game developer is offering what it calls a ``sincere and formal apology'' to the Chinese community for a game denounced as racist.
Big-O-Tree Games of Markham says ``Dirty Chinese Restaurant'' was not intended to inflict harm on Chinese culture.
The game features players chasing cats and dogs with a cleaver, scavenging for ingredients and dodging immigration officials.
It caught the attention of New York congresswoman Grace Meng, who said it ``uses every negative and demeaning stereotype'' she's encountered as a Chinese American.
