Planning a trip to the Toronto Zoo?
You should make other plans because more than 400 employees at the zoo walked off the job at midnight in a dispute over job security.
CUPE Local 1600 says the zoo's refusal to move on that issue left them with no alternative but to begin a strike.
But zoo spokeswoman Jennifer Tracey says the facility has been ``more than fair and reasonable'' and had presented an offer that addressed job security and included a wage increase.
Tracey says the zoo animals will be taken care by management staff.
