The Toronto Zoo opened to visitors today for the first time since it was shut down by a strike more than a month ago.
More than 400 unionized workers including zookeepers returned to the job earlier this week after both they and the zoo's management board both ratified a new four-year collective
agreement.
The zoo says in a special announcement that it wants to thank its guests, members and clients for their patience during the labour dispute.
The statement adds it looks forward to their continued support for the zoo as a world leader in conservation, education and scientific programs.
