An international competition is singing the praises of St. Catharines' Town Crier.
Mark Molnar has recently returned from the Annapolis Valley International Town Criers Competition in Nova Scotia where he took the top honour.
19 criers from five countries showed off their silver tongues. They came from Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, and Canada.
Molnar says over the course of three competition days he shared his cries, injecting a little humour, and bringing smiles to faces.
He says he plans to keep in touch with some of the other criers he met along the way.
Molnar also took top marks in 2014 Ontario Guild of Town Criers annual provincial championship.
