The MP for St. Catharines is hosting a town hall tonight to discuss issues surrounding the Welland Canal.
Chris Bittle says the federal Transport Ministry is currently conducting a review of the canal system and he wants to make sure the government hears from residents and not just ship owners.
Bittle says there are several issues Niagara residents are concerned about including clinker dust, GO trains, and the Seaway bridge status app.
He notes residents have had little say in what is going on, even though the canal cuts the peninsula in half.
The meeting goes tonight at 6:30 at the Port Weller Community Centre/
