The Town of Pelham isn't taking any chances and has announced it will be taking a precautionary approach to Monday's solar eclipse.
In a release the town notes that solar eclipses are not safe to look at without the appropriate eye protection, and looking at an eclipse can result in permanent eye damage.
To reduce the potential for this type of injury to users of various Pelham outdoor facilities, the Pelham Pool will be closed to
the public from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on August 21st.
As well, summer camp participants will remain indoors during the same timeframe.
