Disturbing documents submitted to court as a mother is facing charges after her son drowned in the Grand River.
A frantic search began along the Grand just over a year ago after three year old Kaden Young was swept away by floodwaters when his mother drove around a road closed sign and their van became stuck.
Kaden's remains wouldn't be found for two months.
CTV News reports documents submitted to the court as part of the family proceedings alleges the toxicology screening of his mother found cocaine, alcohol, Percocet, and OxyContin in Michelle Hanson's system at the time.
She has denied the allegations of impaired driving causing death.
The charges have not yet been proven in court.
