You may start to notice more traffic at Niagara's border bridges as provinces and states start to loosen COVID restrictions.
While only essential and commercial traffic is allowed to cross the Canada/U.S. border, traffic is starting to increase as economies on both sides of the border start to reopen.
Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland made the comment of the increase in cross border traffic today, confirming that the current ban on non-essential travel remains unchanged.
Essential workers and trade shipments have been allowed to continue to move back and forth between the two countries.
Freeland says Canada and the U.S. are working on plans to deal with the easing of restrictions on personal mobility.
