Canadians will soon be able to mark an ``x'' on their passports if they don't identify as either male or female.
Starting August 31st, transgender people will be able to identify their sex as ``x'' on documents that typically allow only an ``m'' or ``f.''
It's a temporary measure until documents with the ``x'' option can be printed.
The initiative stems from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's promise to better reflect Canada's gender diversity.
