A large tree is scheduled come down today outside St. Catharines city hall.
Crews will be removing a large Blue Spruce on the James Street side of the grounds.
Officials say the tree is dying from a Cyospora Canker, that causes branches to dry out and lose their needles.
The tree will be replaced by a healthy Blue Spruce relocated from Fairview Park.
On street parking on James Street will not be available while the tree is being removed and the James Street entrance to City Hall will also be closed.
