Trespassing concerns at the old St.Catharines General Hospital on Queenston Street.
Niagara Regional Police were called out to the vacant building at 9:15 last night for reports of people trespassing and debris being thrown around.
Police requested help from fire services.
Shortly after officers arrived, the issues seemed to stop.
Police say in the end it was determined that the safety risks presented by the unknown condition of the structure of the building to the officers and first responders outweighed the need for intervention.
The hospital closed its doors in 2013.
