The trial is underway for the Hamilton man accused of shooting and killing a good samaritan.
Dale Burningsky King is charged with second degree murder in the death of Yosif Al- Hasnawi, the Brock University student, who was shot while coming to the aid of an older man who was being accosted by two other men outside a convenience store in December of 2017.
Burningsky King has admitted to firing the bullet that struck the 19 year old.
On the stand yesterday, Doctor Andrew Healey, an emergency room doctor at St. Joseph's where the victim was taken the night he was shot.
Healey was the one who asked for a review of the case, noting the delay in bringing the victim to hospital was atypical.
Two paramedics who treated Al Hasnawi are facing charges of failing to provide the neccessities of life in the case.
