Canada is offering $15 million and water bombers to help fight fires destroying large swaths of the Amazon rainforest.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the contribution as the G7 summit wrapped up in Biarritz, France.
Canada's contribution will be on top of the $20 million that the G7 is offering Amazon countries to help fight the blazes.
The G7 reached the deal after a session focused on climate change that was skipped by US President Donald Trump.
He passed in order to hold one-on-one meetings with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders.
Satellites have recorded more than 41,000 fires in the Amazon so far this year -- more than half of them this month.
