U-S President Donald Trump says America is in mourning and searching for answers after the latest mass shooting at a school.
In an address to the nation, he said nobody should have to fear when they go to school.
Trump is also promising to visit the school in Parkland soon.
He made no mention of guns or gun laws
Trump says he has instructed his administration to support local officials in tackling mental health issues.
Trump's focus on mental health instead of addressing gun control is something we have seen before in the past.
After a shooting at a Texas church left 26 people dead in November, Trrump also said "mental health'' was the problem, adding that "this isn't a guns situation.'' When he visited Las Vegas, Trump called the shooter "demented'' and a "very sick individual."
An orphaned 19-year-old with a troubled past and his own A-R-15 rifle was charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder this morning following the deadliest school shooting in the U-S in five years.
Fourteen wounded survivors are hospitalized.
Trump's speech did not mention anything about gun control, insteading focusing on mental illness for the rampage.
