President Trump says the U.S. will be withdrawing from International Arms Trade Treaty.
Speaking at an NRA summit in Indianapolis today, Trump said he will ask Senate to stop the treaty ratification process.
It was signed in 2013 by former President Obama but never ratified by Congress.
The treaty aims to regulate the international arms business and keep weapons out of the hands of human rights abusers.
The NRA has always maintained the undermines individual gun rights.
Meantime, someone apparently threw a small object at the stage when Trump at the NRA's annual summit today.
A video suggests the object could have been a cellphone.
Trump glanced at it and then started his speech.
The Secret Service has not commented.
Trump got an enthusiastic welcome at the event.
There has been grumbling among some gun enthusiasts about the Trump administration's ban on bump stocks. Bump stocks greatly increase firing capacity and were used in the Las Vegas shooting massacre in 2017.
