Sets are being built, film gear is being brought in, and Port Dalhousie is ready for its close up.
CBC show Anne is filming at Lakeside Park and crews having been working tirelessly to set up, film, and tear down pieces for the show.
Anne is based on the Anne of Green Gables character and crews are expected to be in the area until November 1st.
There will be some road closures and parking restrictions due to the filming:
Between 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 and noon Saturday, Oct. 28 Hogan’s Alley will be closed and access to the Lakeside Park parking lot via Lakeport Road will be unavailable.
The one-way exit from the Lakeside Park parking lot will be converted to two-way traffic to allow access to Lakeside Park from Main Street and Lock Street.
On street parking will be prohibited while the one-way street serves as two-way access to the park.
Parking for park visitors will be limited from Tuesday, Oct. 24 to Saturday, Oct. 28 while the production takes control of most of the Lakeside Park parking lot.
The row of parking spots closest to the carousel side of the parking lot will still be available for park visitors.
The Lakeside Park pavilion and a section of the beach behind the washrooms will also be unavailable during filming.
