Hamilton Police have now identified the woman who died in a house fire on Monday night.
22-year-old Rebekah Pezze of Hamilton died as a result of the blaze.
Fire fighters were called to a multi-unit home just after 7 p.m Monday night on Beach road.
Witnessed told police they saw the occupant of the unit and another female running from the building just before the 911 calls started to come in.
The pair was taken into custody when they returned to the scene around 2:15 a.m.
They were later released from police custody.
Detectives and members of the ACTION Team will be in the area of Beach Road and Gage Avenue North this morning to canvass for witnesses and surveillance video.
Two dogs and a rabbit also died in the fire.
